🪙 Complexity and Simplicity -- two sides of the same coin

To get to simple for someone, it often has to get more complex for someone else.

An elegant, easy to use UI was a lot of work for someone to design.

A powerful, modern programming language that makes it easy for software developers was no doubt very complex to implement.

Modern CPUs that allow us to do so much are very complex to design and manufacture.

In technology, anything that appears simple/nice/easy likely has something very complex behind the scenes.

Again, this makes business sense if many people can benefit from the simplicity for every person that deals with the complexity.

What does not work is if we push complexity onto our users/customers in an effort to keep things simple for ourselves.
